Climate responsibility in aluminum processing: apt Sustainability Report 2022
We are pleased to present to you the Sustainability Report of the apt Group for the year 2022. In this report, we transparently outline our efforts and progress in sustainability, voluntarily doing so for the second time. Our annual publication focuses on relevant aspects in economics, ecology, and social responsibility.
Aligned with the United Nations’ Agenda 2030, particularly the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, our sustainability strategy guides our actions. Raw material procurement is of central importance to us, and we scrutinize our aluminum suppliers in accordance with the international OECD guidelines for promoting responsible supply chains. When procuring primary aluminum, we ensure that hydropower and geothermal energy being used in the manufacturing process, significantly minimizing CO₂ emissions. Additionally, the apt Group recycles secondary aluminum into billets for further processing into new products. Our locations have dedicated energy teams identifying energy-saving potentials. Recycling and responsible resource management are integral parts of our corporate culture.

About apt
The apt Group is one of the leading groups of companies in the European aluminum industry. It produces, processes and distributes aluminum profiles and products for the construction, transport, automotive and industrial sectors.
With its four production sites, the group is divided into the divisions apt Extrusions (extrusion) and apt Products (further processing). It covers the entire value chain – from development, recycling, extrusion, mechanical processing, surface finishing (anodizing and powder coating) to assembly and logistics.
