Sustainability at apt: our sustainability report 2023
The apt Group’s Sustainability Report 2023 marks the third consecutive year in which we, as an aluminum processing company, have been working intensively and in a structured manner on our sustainability agenda.
We are pleased to present our third sustainability report. As one of the leading companies in the European aluminum industry, we are working intensively and in a structured manner to achieve our sustainability goals. In 2023, we focused on three key areas in this regard:
- Green electricity purchasing – We are increasingly focusing on renewable energy and have been able to reduce our carbon footprint significantly in 2023 as a result
- Data transparency – We have improved the transparency of our data and extended the carbon footprint to our two Product plants to give our stakeholders a comprehensive insight into our sustainability efforts
- Sustainable procurement – Our procurement processes have been further optimized to ensure transparency in the supply chain
The apt Group is aligned with the European Green Deal and aims to be climate-neutral by 2044. With our four production sites in Germany, the Netherlands, and the Czech Republic, we want to contribute to society and the environment.
Our current Sustainability Report 2023 provides detailed information on our goals, progress, and plans. It contains comprehensive data and key figures for the 2023 financial year (01.01.-31.12.2023). The report was prepared concerning the standards of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI).
